Default Paint Touch Up

Doing a little upgrading and have some paint touchup to do. For the most part it is on the undercarriage with some on the steering post, front cross member, springs, etc....

I don't want to spot these places as it might be very noticeable. I am looking for a technique, either with brush, sponge or cloth or ???? that will smooth out the coverage. All is on black paint. I usually use rust-oleum black but open to any ideas. Want to avoid spraying any of this if at all possible.

All suggestions appreciated.

Get a can of gloss and one of satin. try a small area with the gloss and let dry at least overnight to achieve the ultimate gloss or matt finish. Add satin to adjust and try again.
