I pulled the distributor from my stock 29 tudor.
The inside & bottom of the well is dry with a small amount of dry residue. My question is this normal or not? Or is there a problem.

Seems like yours is fine. many are full of 'crud'. When installing the distributor I liberally lubricate and neverseize everything.
