Default Lifting Model A

We recently purchased a used Atlas 9000 asymmetric 2 post lift. I would appreciate any information and pictures as to how to set up to lift a Model A, where to lift from on the frame, type and size of adapters, etc. First lift I have ever owned so all comments/pictures/tips are really helpful.

we use use 1ft adapters on all 4 and lift on the frame rails. go up slowly to work the pads around the front brake rods.

You need the risers,or adapters.I use 10 inch ones on my lift. The two front ones go under the frame at the side motor mounts. The rears fit under the frame in front of the radius rods.I like them as close to the radius rods as possible. If I'm doing anything involving removing the rear, such as a spring, transmission,or clutch,I can loosen everything up as needed, drop the car to the floor, take off the U-bolts and leave the rear on the floor when I raise the car back up again.

agree with all the above. the hardest part is getting an adapter on the right rear because of the muffler, but you'll get it.

I assume you have 3 diff. adapter lengths. Remember you are allowed any combination of 2 adapters but never all 3 at once
