just received a nice headlight bar that i bought off Fordbarn. QUESTION: one of the headlight mounts has a flat on the headlight mount cup. Is this to be on the back of left side to facilitate mounting the horn? never noticed this before.

yes you are correct, the little lip on the horn bracket fits up against the "flat".
