FORD used an asphaltum treated fabric between the running board dust shield and the chassis. Also known as "anti-squeak".
If one had the fabric, say from Brattons,...just how could the asphaltum be recreated and applied to the fabric for installation on the chassis? The fabric off my February 1929 Tudor Sedan is just that. Thanks. Pluck |
