I am installing the radiator on my 30 coupe, and I am a bit confused as to the proper way to bolt the bottom brackets to the chassis.
Les Andrews book shows it as follows: first the rubber pad, then the spring, then the nut. In my parts catalog, it shows the mounting kit using the same parts. Previously the bolts were mounted thusly, The rubber pad, a flat washer, the spring followed by another flat washer and then the nut. It seems to me that the spring wants to sit on a washer to protect the rubber pad and provide support for the spring and that there should be a washer on top of the spring as well. I am not concerned by "points", I just want to make sure I do it right. All suggestions will be appreciated and certainly welcome. Thanks Burt |
