Sure, didn't all Model A's come with tan leather bucket seats, red fenders, blue-dot taillights, red radiator shells, King Bee chrome headlight buckets and rear bumpers on pickups?

Sort of like the lady who walked up to me at a gas station one time and asked what kind of car I was driving and what color the paint was - I said, "It's a 1930 Model A Ford Tudor Sedan and the paint color is Elkpoint Green and Kewanee Green." She replied, "Yes, I thought so, my Dad had one exactly like it but it was a blue 1947 Pontiac station wagon, just like yours."

Actually,it isn't a 30-31 cab back,it is a sedan back.Nice little fun truck,but not too much originality there.I wouldn't feel too bad about putting a V8 in that one.

Its actually pretty nice for what it is. Its a 2 door sedan that was cut down and made into a pick up cab. If it had black fenders, it would be decent looking. i agree it shouldnt be advertised as restored back to original. But i do like the interior thats in it. "man those pick up seats are so comfortable to ride in all day long"-said no one ever. I think the interior was done pretty well from the pictures, and if i had a truck it would have seats like that in it.

But some Seller could easily argue it looks almost exactly like many of the 'restored' Model-As that they saw at the Model A RESTORERS Club meet! Theirs had alternators just like this one so that must be an authentic accessory. Theirs had these same type headlights, and many of the pick-ups at that tour had varnished wood in the bed too. Heck the seller could even argue that he has the correct original two-blade fan! Therefore if all those people are saying their Model-A is original, then ours must be original too!



Mike you asked how should one be advertised? Personally I think they are pretty close on being accepted by most potential Buyers. Don't we all agree that the Buyer should be versed enough to know what they are looking at when seeking one to purchase? If not, they should find someone who does have expertise that can advise them?? I also think most of us would agree that we are all guilty of at times of making decisions on our own about items we may not have full knowledge about.

The thing about this truck from my point of view is it will likely sell to someone who likes it for what it is, and really does not care how authentic it really is. My bets are they will probably individualize it even more and then go have fun with it. Like the song says, "There's just sumthin' about a truck...."

For me, the shock is not that someone would paint a Model A all red but that someone would actually bid $11,500 for it. However, that could be a shill.
