Does anyone have a pic of an electric windshiled wiper (Heinze HA C1) that was used in 29 showing the screw holding the hand operating lever screw.
I'm confused because the Standard Hardware booklet gives the part number A-20060 which is a 6-32 x 1/4 B-17. When I look up the A-20060 description (page iv of the Standard Hardward Booklet) is states with illustration this is a flat square head screw (says the head is square). Yet knowledgeable folks have said that what they have seen on originals is just a round screw. Can someone clarify or post a pic of an original? Thanks - Hunter |

I'll have to see if I can find mine, but I'm sure it had a square head.

Benson,
Could you measure one side of the square? And about how thick the head is? Would greatly appreciate it - Hunter |

As soon as Benson mention the slot, I remembered mine having the slot also. I just found it and took a picture and some measurements. The screw is rusted tight right now, but I started to soak it with Gibbs. The head is .100 thick, the slot is .035 wide, and the flats are .225 across. The corners are slightly rounded.

When Tom mentioned the rounded edges and corners I measured again with a Dial caliper, instead of a ruler ...
.222 on the flats. .100 tall |

The December 1929 Parts Price List describes machine screw A20060 as:
No. 6-32 U.S.F.x 1/4 flat square head screw. |
