Default 1928 LEFT Side Parking Brake Question

Just picked up an early 1928 Fordor Cowl,(NOT real early with the cowl vent) it has the oval cutout for the early left side parking beake lever. Has anyone researched how long it took Ford to use up these toeboard pieces and make them without the oval hole? When did the switch to the common center mount brake take place? Just wondering. Bob

Ford used the sub rail with the hole for a long time with a plate screwed down to cover the unused hole.

My Feb/March 1929 Tudor does not have the plate.

So maybe sometime between July/Aug 1928 and Feb/March 1929.....

According to the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards (which every Model A/AA owner should have), Page 7-1, Revised 2011 (Area 7...Brake System): The changeover to the separate emergency brake system was implemented in some Ford branches begining in April 1928. The transition was not completed until June 1928. The early brake system was not pahased out on some commercial vehicles until early 1929.

My 9-27-28 has the plate coved hole for the left hand brake.
The center mounted brake was introduced about May 1928.
