Default Painted the wheels

Decided to change the wheel color on my '30 CCPU from cream to black. I also painted the wheels with the tires on the rims. I hit the wheels with a wire wheel on a drill, then used a Scotch Brite pad to get all the loose stuff off. I then blew the entire wheel off with a blower, used denatured alcohol to clean them, then primed and painted them. I also found out that placing a nickel in the lug holes is the exact same diameter of the hole so it worked out that I didn't have to worry about paint getting in them. I've attached some pictures of the process and of the vehicle with both the cream and black wheels.

I personally like the cream better but I am sure I am in the minority.

Variety is what makes the world go around, but I like the Black. It looks more like a truck now. Nice job.

How did you paint them?? Rattle can or??
I see very little overspray is the reason I'm asking.
Last time I painted wheels was about 1968, brush and case of beer.

I too changed mine to black. IMO, it makes it look like a truck and not a toy. Nice job!

I like the cream better , I changed from black to cream on my 31 coupe, with the black fenders and black running boards just to much black,
The cream looked great . JMO.

I used Rustoleum Primer and Rustoleum Professional both out of a spray can.

Dog here, We like them the color Ol' CONNORS likes the BEST! Somebody had the NERVE to say Vermin's wheels looked like I p**d on them! I ONLY p** on the Persimmon Tree trunk! I can mark it 3 1/2 feet high!!
Point being: We should ALL be INDEPENDENT thinkers & do it OUR WAY, even if it means whitewalls. Ol' Bill painted out an ooold used Lester whitewall for a spare, 'cause he was too broke to buy 5 new Coker Classics. But the Ol' Dude sprung for a $35.00 bag of Dog food today, love that Man!
I read raised letters on the Ol' Lester tire that sez, "TO BE USED ONLY ON CARS MANUFACTURED BEFORE 1948"! Ever see that before? Maybe sumptin' to do with "Safety Rims"? Buster T.

I'm a little like Bill in a way, I put on 35 ford 16" wheels, powder coated cream, and then put 6.00-16" tires with 3" white walls , I guess some of us just like to stand out .
