I want to get to my master light switch which I presume is behind the horn button on my 36 coupe. ..How do I go about this as I do not want to damage anything ?

The switch on the horn is just the mechanical attached to a rod that goes to the bottom of the steering column into a master switch body where u'll see a sizable part of u'r harness entering. Inside the switch body has light contacts in a radial pattern that remain in contact or not ( switch on or off or hi-beam) as the steering wheel turns. Schematics are readily available and u need to get one to really see how it operates. The switch body is available new but often needs tweaking to work right and the contact body is part of your harness.
