Default Throttle and timing linkage things on the column...

I don't know their specific name, but are they exactly the same, Somehow it looks like I am installing them wrong. The one on the right the hole is lined up if I push it down on the spring.

They look right. An easy way to remember is "right up your alley". The right one is up.

The flat bar attached to the spare tire carrier, what does it bolt to? I have one and don't know what to do with it.

The flat bar is the back half of the spare tire lock

I actually wasn't sure if it was possible to get them "180* out" as compared to the lever before I put the pin in.

The other half of the spare tire lock can be found, but may take some time. You'll just have to search the boxes at swap meets, or fabricate something to work.

I just noticed that your two levers aren't even. I noticed the wide spacing on the right spring. I wonder if the rods are all the way against the steering bracket? Or maybe the part isn't pinned yet?

It isn't pinned yet, but the hole is lined up if I push it down. I just didn't remember them being in that 'position' of the rotation when I had both levers in the 'retarded' position at disassembly. I forgot to take a picture.

I am worried I am pinning them in the wrong position somehow...

Go ahead and pin it, as they look correct. Are you using roll pins, or solid pins that need the ends peened?

Planned on solid pins, I have not peened them yet though.

Thank you,

Thank you,
It sure helps to have a second person to hold the end of the column, or use a sky hook.
I just clamp a heavy piece of angle iron in the vice and set one end of the pin on it while I use a hammer and punch to peen the other end. Then I turn it over and peed the other end. It's tight trying to get a support under the pin, but it can be done.
