Photo request: Attn Slant windshield owners

Hello, I'm having some difficulty installing my new windshield / frame onto the car. This is a 31' S/W fordor.

I slid the windshield into the hinge, and when I let the windshield down, it comes to rest about an inch to an inch and a half open, and there is a noticeable gap between the body of the car and the top sides of the windshield frame (where the two machine screws are)

Also, I'm an unsure of how the rubber gasket is installed.

Could someone who owns one of these guys please, (at your convenience of course) take a few quick photos with details of the windshield + hinge junction, preferably from the sides with the windshield open?? maybe a quick look at the gasket?

Thank you very much, this is my first A, I've been putting it together the past few months, never seen one or rode in one before and all this stuff is foreign to me.

When I bought my 31 S/W sedan,the WS would not close the last inch.I removed the thick gasket between the hinge & header & replaced it with some clear silicone sealer.the WS now closes all the way.

Did you use the special gasket set for the S/W cars?
What seems to be preventing the windshield from closing all the way?
