Shock link question
I am trying to install original type shock links on my car. There is a nice diagram in Bratton's catalog showing how the parts go together, except it doesn't show the direction the seals should be installed. I am putting a picture of one of the seals and cap below. There is a wide end and a narrow end as you can see from the picture. I have tried to install them both ways, and it seems like there is a small gap on the narrow end either way. It seems like the grease would squeeze out the small space. I hope someone on Fordbarn that has installed them before can post the correct way to install the top and bottom seals and caps on the shock link and comment on the small gap I am seeing.
Thanks for any help. Rusty Nelson |

Re: Shock link question
I'm interested in an explanation too. I purchased 4 late 31 links and have yet to install them.
