Default Leaf Spring Question

I was wondering who sells the steel sleeves that fit into the leaf spring eyes? The sleeves are 7/8" OD x 3/4" ID with a wall thickness of 1/16" and an overall length of 1 3/4" and 2 1/4".

Thank you!
Walt

sounds like someone drove the pins out and left the outer in the spring . the pin and case are one unit on cars . Two things year and model would help and a photo if possible often explains more than any thing else

The sleeve is not a separate item. It is an assembly with the stud and bushing.

Third Gen Auto has what you are looking for.

If you are restoring original, that is one thing.
If the car is to be just a "driver", you might research Delrin bushing kits.
They last forever. NO special tools required to install.

Thanks everyone for your input! I have the original NOS metal cartridge style shackle studs but I do not have the special tool needed to install them. I bought the "hot rod" style shackle kit but they do not include the 7/8" spring eye bushings. My thought was to insert a steel sleeve into the spring eyes and use all 3/4" bushings. The springs are for a '32-'34 car. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem?

Places like Roadster Supply and Carrillo Custom, and probueven Speedway have the nylon/acetal/whatever they are bushings for the aftermarket type shackles and early spring eyes.

32-34 springs used the 7/8" Dia. If you check with your supplier they usually have the proper size in stock, and you will not need the repair sleeves usually sold by bearing suppliers. It was 35-48 that used the 3/4" Dia.
