Default Special mounting clips for 1930 Cowl Bands

There were four, two each side, special Cowl Band mounting clips which were attached to the Cowl Band on very early 1930 (1929 builds) bodies to hold it in place on the upper curvature of the gas tank.

These clips were attached to the second and third mounting holes from each side on the front edge of the upper tank.

Was the use of these clips used through-out the 30-31 Model A era OR were they discontinued AFTER Ford started to put the "raised" indents on the gas tank itself to better hold the Cowl Band to the upper tank area?

Thanks.

Pluck
