sand blasting 31 roadster, took of tack rail
How the heck did ford get the wood in side that metal trim rail ? I have the wood trim to put back but not in that track.

I’ve not seen factory photo of assembly.
My guess (based on experience was the front “lips”‘we’re folded after the tack material was placed inside the metal housing. The original was not wood but a twisted product similar to a tough jute or very tightly twisted paper. I’ve used upholstery backer board cut in strips and glued in layers in the channel |
