I have a trunk that has a hole on either side down low. It is raised slightly on the outside, and on the inside the metal is peened over. It almost looks like possibly a spreader bar may have been used.
Any ideas??? |

I have a Potter Trunk and there are NO holes where you show them , possibly someone put extra Tail lights at those spots, just a guess ... R..

On the swap site, posted 3-16, there is a Potter trunk, with pretty good pictures. You might want to compare. As already posted, I believe there are no holes.
It's not very often that you get to see pictures of a real-deal Potter trunk, and with the hinges and latches included. (I don't know if these parts are the real thing - the experts here should be able to say. I think the only time I have seen real latches and hinges, is on the pictures of the Bonnie/Clyde car.) |

I was curious about the holes in mine. I guess I will plan on patching them when we prep for paint. Thanks all. |
