Default 33-34 4cyl Intake question

Looking at 4 cyl Intakes for 32-34's and have noticed a couple of the intakes have this threaded bung on the front side of the intake runner like the attached with a fine thread bolt stuck in it, what would that be for???

It's the first version of the B intake manifold with the large vacuum fitting at the front for the never-released vacuum-assisted clutch. See pages 5-2 and 3 of the '32 book.

So the completely smooth front, NO vacuum boss at ALL like on your 33 Coupe is correct for 33?? I guess is what my question should be?? As I search for the "correct" one.

And for most '32 and all '34 fours. They are not scarce.

Surprisingly I searched hershey over for Model B intakes last year and only netted one. I think they are scooped up by the Model A guys a lot due to the larger bore diameter needed with the "B" Carb. I have a Model B intake and carb on my driver Model A and the difference in power was more than I suspected it would be. I sure would have loved to have driven a 32 with a vacuum assisted clutch just to see what that would feel like!
