Thank you so much for all the photos and the gret history of this unique vehicle.

I will be looking for it the next time I visit the Model A Museum.

It is a great story. When it was restored it was on display in the lobby of Rochester Telephone headquarters building for many years. Eventually it was put up for sale and the owner wanted it to go to a telephone person.
Fred, a New England Telephone employee called, talked to the owner and was able to buy the telephone truck. He had it for many years and showed it occasionally. He listed it for sale and the museum called me to check it out since it was nearby. While I was with Fred looking it over, my wife and Fred's wife talked about how nice this truck would be at the museum for many to enjoy. The more they talked Fred's wife got excited about it being on display. On behalf of the museum I made an offer and Fred's wife just looked at him an nodded her head and deal was done. So it was the wives who made this deal happen. I was very happy for both the museum and Fred and his wife.
I was also happy to be able to help deliver the truck to the museum.

Wasn’t there an article on this truck, and its acquisition, in the Restorer some months back?
