Hi everyone and thanks for your help in the past, I removed my drag link today but the end that connects to the steering box arm is cast and can’t be replaced like the other end. Does this mean I have to get a modern repro and are they any good ? Thank you.

If the cast end is worn out then yes, you need to replace the entire assembly. I have not installed a reproduction in many years. They were good quality then...

I don't think it has been greased for may years and doesn't have any resistance like a tie rod end, I don't like to replace original for repro if I can help it. I may take it to the machine shop and see if they can sleeve it and weld it up with a new end, it will outlast me.

The originals do have one end that is part of the rod. The other end is formed into a female thread so there is no adjustment sleeve (as the two lower ones pictured below). If your drag link does have the adjustment link (as the upper one pictured below) it is the 11Y style form 1941. If your drag link does not have play up or down or side to side it is still good.
