![]() ......... yet based on the premise that we have always deemed 12.060" to be the recognized safe - and LEGAL limit - for the '40-'48 drums, I can't imagine why we would assume that the similarly-constructed '36-'39 drums would fall under a different specification. Coop . |

Wonder what the deciding factor was in olden times; must be a reason that I find so many brake shoes with shims behind the linings.

At one time a thicker brake material was available for your shoes. I believe discontinued now. 12.060 is some what standard and hard to find. Newc
