I'm restoring a '30 Town Sedan, and right now I have it in about as many disassembled pieces as I intend. Looking towards getting ahead on long lead items, early last November 2023 I ordered an interior kit (brown mohair and brown wool carpet) for the car from Classtique. At the time Mike quoted me a delivery date of November 31, 2024, a year out. That wasn't a problem with me as I had (and still have) a long way to go to be ready for it. I was patting myself on the back for such good foresight. The interior will be the last major item I do, after paint and body assembly.
The upholstery kit arrived yesterday - a good 4-1/2 months ahead of promised. Five very well secured packages. I have not opened them up to verify contents but I am confident all will be as promised. Hats off to Mike and the rest at Classtique for exceeding expectations!

That's good to hear! I have to get my order in with him for my 31 town sedan. When I talked with him a month ago he said they were down to about 7 months out.

Classtique upholstery kits are as good as Lebaron's were. I have Classtique upholstery in my Victoria. Mike is a pleasure to work with.

Doing a great job. It is lot of work to get it correct, especially the interior roof where every imperfection can be seen. On my '28 had to make the rear passenger side quarter panel including the arm rest.
It appears that you did what I did in insulating the inside of the vehicle. It cuts down on noise and heat. |

I was in the same position...figured I'd be smart, ordering the interior of my Phaeton a year out. Seven months in, and I got a notification Classtique was shipping it to me!
Always better fast than slow...though the interior is being stored now while the car is getting worked on. No complaints!

Lebaron Bonney is the standard that I compare to all other upholstery suppliers, and Classtique is every bit as good in quality of materials, authenticity and workmanship as was Lebaron Bonney.

Mike's estimates tend to be worst case - which is good from my perspective. I've always gotten my things sooner.

I missed Mike's seminar at the MARC meet today. I saw him a couple of years ago, but I should have gone today. I even had a ticket, but I was being a good husband.

I talked to his mom, she said apparently he misplaced the file with the slides the day before and basically had to wing it. I thought he did well under the circumstances. I had to leave midway through, but he discussed the fabric patterns they’d been able to revive recently, differences between their terminology and LB’s, and when to use different types of welting. He said he now has 13 employees and expects to cut lead times further before the end of the year. |

Now that's the way to run a business when you have an abundance of customers!!!

He said since he bought the business, they’ve shipped 3,000 kits.

The owner of Classtique was at MARC. He says he has 14 employees now, and backlog is down to 6 months.
