Default Grinning and "bearing" it

I want an opinion. Sure I'll get many. Took main bearing cap off and found this. This isn't a cross country or daily driver car and runs fine. This is the front and is cast. I'm in a foreign country (Brazil) and getting a new one is a very major ordeal.

Should I...
1) leave the **loose** piece in and bolt it up and run it until it worsens.
2) REMOVE the piece and bolt it up and run it until it worsens.
3) stop the presses and re-do everything 'cuz she's guna blow!

**
4) Try to fill it with solder (white or yellow) so I don't loose the oil if it all breaks loose.
