Default 12 volt conversion

I have a 8ba engine (unknown year). Wondering if anybody has a part number for a 12 volt condensor. I was going to go to NAPA. Thanks

Condenser does not care.
IH200 is highly recomended.

Another option is a Pertronix electronic conversion. I've got one already installed in an Loadomatic dizzy that I replaced with a Chevy unit from Bubba. Not looking to make a killing on it. PM me if your interested.

All that would be needed is a ballast resistor to control the current draw and drop the voltage. The Echlin IC10 coil and the ICR11 ballast were used on many a Ford 12-volt application. The stock OEM coil would likely work with a 1.4 to 1.5 Ohm ballast resistor. If you change polarity to negative ground, you will also need to change polarity on the coil. This might require a checker tool if the terminal markings are illegible.

I'm not sure the IH200 condenser with work in a Load-A-Matic distributor but the stock one will with the addition of a ballast resistor.
