This looks like some type of Ford trans. The bell housing is early Ford. The serial # as I read it on the bell housing is HI 50823. That's all I see or can read. It has long OD tail shaft for a torque tube rear end. What is it ?
Please see photos. Thank you. |

Although they are way long, they are the only ones FoMoCo used that had a closed torque tube drive.

Thank you all for your help. I was think it was an LZ, but was not sure. Nice to know Mac can rebuild them, and that they use BW OD parts.

Don't lose the solenoid, even if it doesn't work. That solenoid is Zephyr overdrive specific with a very long shaft.
