Default removing windshield frame 1933

I have to replace the rubber gasket around my windshield frame. Hardened and it looks really lousy.
What is the simplest way to do that. The old gasket is hardened and I started digging it out with an old set of dental tools, but it looks like I will have to remove the frame to get at the top portion of the frame.
My car has an original interior and I want to be very careful. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
