Default Serial number on 1937 Ford Truck chassis?

My guy picked up my truck this morning in St Louis and could NOT find the original Ford serial number on the chassis. Maybe we are looking in the wrong place, or maybe it was ground off in the process of remaking the chassis for a hot rod.

Anyone able to tell me where to look for that serial number??

Top of left frame rail … in three places
1. Between the front cross member and the firewall
2. Near the center
3. Right over the rear axle on the kickup

Should be there if we look hard enough.....cant see how all three of them could get erased accidentally.

Thanks.

replied to your first post before I found this one. I found same info 296 has supplied. My frame is so crusty that I could not find these either. Gave up and found a understanding policeman to sign off my DMV paperwork. They are probably there, just covered with dirt and rust. Good luck

Many of the frames are interchangeable in the mid to late 30s until they started to change them in 39 for the deluxe models with the crank mounted fan and then in 42 when the commercials went open drive.
