Still sorting out a large quanity of Model A bolts. I have a pretty complete Model A library but don't know where to find the identity of various bolts. Has anyone gone through this drill? Any and all help welcome.

Parts Price List is where I always look for hardware size and finish. This booklet has a few mistakes, but can usually be figured out.

If you have a copy of "Ford Model A Standard Hardware 1928 - 1931" by Mick Isbell you have a good start on your project. It was jointly published by MARC and MAFCA.
I refer to if often and is a great addition to any library. Tom |

Probably a Time consuming task to do, but in the Red Cover Vol 1, Model A Mechanics Handbook, written by Les Andrews. He Notes in every Repair Section, almost on every Page, What size Bolts and Nuts are used and where, and how many. I think that their is also a Page or two Devoted to size, thread, and where used.

I use Brattons catalog in the same way. It is the main source of info, when in the 'reading room'. There is a lot of good information within the covers of their catalog. I always get a little exceited when a new one arrives. I wish I had your probem Ron, I should have been buying more hardware 30 years ago. I have recently (last year or two) started buying boxes of nuts and bolts, purdy cool, what you find.
