Default 1933 Ford wiring question

I recently bought a 33 ford wiring harnes and im not a auto electrician,i was wondering if anyone can help me out with the harness.on the end of it ,looks like there is a large round end on it where all the wires connects to,this looks like it plugs into some thing,does anyone know what this plugs into and where to buy that part from,any imput would be appreciated,cheers Martin

That is the headlight switch contact plate. The headlight switch is located on the bottom of the steering box and is switched via a rod through the center of the column up to the control in the middle of the steering wheel with the horn button as well. Assuming your car has original ford steering box/column and not a HOT ROD modification. Check out the original ford 1933 wiring diagram for details or the drivers handbook. thanks for your reply guys,here are acouple of pics that i have of my steering box and 1 of a extra box that i have.the box on the car has a wire coming out of the centre of the shaft,i thought that would be for the horn?.it looks like from David J picture that i am missing the housing that the wires sit in and connect to the bottom of the steering box?.if so does any one know where to buy this part?.thanks Martin

You need the complete light switch assy as well as the wire bail that holds it in place & the spring & spider & U-clip that fits on bottom of light-switch rod.These parts are the same from 29-34,maybe even up to 37.You will need the L-S rod from a 33 as I believe the 34 has a different length L-S rod.
