Default Le Baron Bonney Interior kit 68B Fixed seat Cabriolet

I am about to order an interior kit from Le Baron Bonney in Tan Bedford Cord, for my mid-1930 fixed seat Cabriolet.

Have anyone (preferably with experience from buying such or installing such a kit) got any tips or hints as to what I should look out for or discuss with LB-B before ordering in order to get the kit as close as possible to original as LB-B is able to do?

L-B is very good to work with. You will get a good kit and good instructions, but if you have any questions or problems they are happy to help you in any way they can. Good choice for your upholstery! It will be as accurate as they are able to make it, and in my opinion, the best that is available.

From the LB-B documentation, they are only listing 68-A interior or 68-B adjustable seat interor. It seems that they have not understood that the 68-B was fixed seat all up to mid-1930.

BTW, i will be ordering carpets as well. Any special concerns ?

Yes, but nothing major.

1: Be aware that if they do the cutouts in your front carpet for accelerator and footrest, you will have one big hole for both. Order your front carpet without the cutouts and do them yourself.

2: If you plan to keep your car for a long time, suggest you order some extra material unsed for your interior. I had to re-do one seat and sent a sample of the material and they did their best to color match it. It isn't perfect, but it isn't that bad. Since they buy their materials in lots, some dye lots might differ over time. The trained eye can spot the different shades of color on my seats.

Otherwise, LB-B is excellent.

I find LBB one of the best to do business with.
They sent me a "Carpet Pattern" on Craft Paper for me to fit my 68C pedals and such and then to mail back. The carpet arrived as requested and I am pleased with all my LBB materials and such for the convertible boot and the carpet and I expect to order a leather interior from them soon.
They did my 68C convertible boot so the Landau Bars would show. There appear to be NO PHOTOS of original 68C boots positioned in operation so we designed it that way a number of years ago, and it looks great.

I think the seat upholstery is the same for either. What is different are the side panels next to the seat and the package tray. When my dad did his years ago they asked for these measurements. Fixed seat will have the wider package tray.
