Default I can't believe it.

About 3 weeks ago a friend of my came back from the flea market with a nice rebuilt Zenith 1 carburetor. He got it for $10.00 I almost cried.
Now today he told me he had put it on e-bay (if I'd have known I would have bid ) and it sold and once again I almost cried because he told me the winning bid was $75.00. I told him I would have paid him that. I told him if he finds anymore Model A stuff he had better give me first dibs from now on.

Don't lose too much sleep. "Rebuilt" often means painted and good original parts tossed in the trash and replaced with new shiny junk that doesn't work right! Now if it was a nice unmolested carb nobody had been into I might be crying!!!

Yes, James,
I cried in 1949 when I missed a like new GOLD & BLACK Whizzer Motorbike for $75.00 If the cryin' gets out of hand, Buster T. offers counseling, CHEAP! Bill W.

I just picked up a set of original lifters and working trico windshield wiper motor at a garage sale, paid $1.00! When the kids want to get rid of stuff they do.

I got a nice original side bowel for 15 dollars and still have it, will that shed a tear?

For every one good deal there's ten times snookered, that's me anyways.

I bought a April 31 motor and trans with a side bowl carb that runs great for $400 2 years ago. I am very pleased with that deal!

Stainless luggage rack on the curb in a trash pile. Are you kidding me! I nearly wrecked the truck trying to look back and stop at the same time. Disbelieving that I even noticed and identified it at 30 mph, also that someone was actually throwing it away, led me to inquire from the homeowner if they needed any assistance cleaning out any more trash. Happened that the home owner found it in the garage, left by the previous home owner. Kept it for years not knowing what it was.

I passed on a $50 WWII issue non-Colt .45 ACP pistol many years ago. That pistol is worth about $1,500 these days. Should have bought it. The heavy appreciation would have meant nothing because I don't sell anything.

I have learned you don't do business with family...

I found out after I bought the Model A that after she died her kids sold the VW "speedbuggy" for $150. It only needed new wiring and a tune up most likely.

I always wanted to at least drive one once.
