Default Running a Sun Tach with a magneto.

I will be running a Wico magneto. Is there a way to use a vintage Sun Tach and sending unit with a mag?

Depends on how old the Suntach is. If it doesn't amplify the point signal, probably not. Without signal amplification, the magneto trip circuit will probably be too loaded down by the tach to work. Meaning the magneto won't develop enough fire to properly to start the car. I don't think it'll hurt to try it and see.

Sun transmitter no. 37-A was made for use with 8 cyl. magneto. You might find one on eBay.

Mine will be a for a Banger. The transmitters are out there. My concern is if they will work with a Wico magneto?

The problem on a mag is that half the cylinders fire positive and the other half fire negative. The magnets switch the polarity every rotation ...SO the tach will only see the negative hits , the tach ( or transmitter ) would need to be set up for a 2 cylinder and protected with a diode etc.......
