Your problem is that you need to search on HAMB. The Fordbarn site is dedicated to original cars ("slight" mods ok) HAMB can be reached through the "Hot Rods and Customs" forum on this site or at http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=5

Be sure to do an introduction first on HAMB or you will get roasted.

Vern Tardell has a book out that you might consider, it's called ' How to build a traditional ford hot rod". It has lots of details on the build. Don't you hate it when someone poo poo's your idea of what to do with your car! I don't think this is only for original model A's. We're all model A enthusiests. Please excuse my spelling. Gary

That is a nice response to a not unreasonable request. However, you are mistaken about the purpose of this forum. When Ryan set it up he specified that it would focus on discussions of original Model A's. It's true that modifications are often discussed, usually performance enhancements to stock components, but not to the level of street rods.

Miscategorized posts are just that. Wrong place gets fewer usable answers.

What do you need to know. There have several Flath head V8 builds on HAM.
Here it seems ok to do anything to your car but change engines.

Hondamate.... use all the forums. I have an AV8. I use the Model A forum for questions about bodies, the early V8 forum for questions about the running gear, and the Hamb for everything.

On my '71 F100, came with a 360 w/OD tranny, I put a 460 w/C6 in it -- looked stock when I got thru with it, but it would run circles around the hopped up mustangs.

Key phrase -- it looked stock!

My '31 PU looks stock, and always will, regardless of what's been done to it.
