I just want to make sure I am reading the parts book right. The 1937 21 stud engine water pumps with the single pulley take the 78-XXXX rebuild kits and the double pulley pumps take the 79-XXXX rebuild kits? I have some of these NOS and want to make sure I amsaving back the right ones. Thanks Rod

That is correct are far as all the info I have. The truck pumps with double sheave had a bearing with their shaft to be able to take the additional load. This made the two designs different with the different castings & shafts.

I think you will find the double pulley pumps have differant bodies and use bearings, not bushings. G.M.
