Ok, I'm a rookie at this flathead thing but,I got to build one. I purchased a 50? v/8. I was able to salvage, crank ,rods, oilpan (truck),water pumps etc. The block was JUNK. I purchased another bare block, that from a visual inspection looks ok. I am looking for the gaer that runs off the back of the cam and runs the oil pump. Is this available new or is it time to call the local flathead gurus and /or off to Iola.
Thanks in advance
