Default Searching for my 1928 Tudor

Searching for my 1928 Tudor

OK, now you will think I'm a nutcase. My first Model A was a 1928 Tudor, engine number 457909 (September 28, 1928). Last seen in Chicago in 1969.

If anyone has an idea as to process or methods to try to find this car, please let me know. Illinois does not have six digit VIN's anymore. Neighboring states DMV's are not helpful either. Ran an ad in Hemmings a few years ago, but no response.

My dad and I restored this car beginning when I was 13 years old. Passed my drivers license exam in the car (fully restored) in 1963 in Chicago. Sold it to help pay for school.

Now I'm an old retired guy hoping to find my first love. Any ideas are much appreciated.

Wouldn't it be cool if it was owned by a Barn member.

I sold my '40 Merc 4 door convertable sedan after Daddy passed as Mother said it hadda go. this was in 1956. I sold it to cousins who promised me first shot when they were done with it. So much for their pormise. Aftert retiring from the Air Force in 1983 I put an add in Hemmings and my Merc called me. She sleeps in another man's garage in Dayton Ohio. Try Hemmings, Facebook or any of the social media sites. What helped me was a small bit of custom work I had done. I put an 40 buick under seat heater in the car.
