Default 30 A Phaeton Substanchion Screw

I have an early 30 Canadian Phaeton 4dr. The top windshield sub stanchion screw is a 3/8 fine thread oval headed machine screw. The lower one is 5/16 fine as the US made are. I cannot find a 3/8 fine thread oval headed machine screw anywhere. Any suggestions as to where I can find two of them?

I make a lot of my own out of a stainless hex bolt.

Get enough shank and cut to length and rethread, then machine head to suit and cut a slot in and polish it.

Totally Stainless 1-800-767-4781, carries slot headed oval machine screws in many sizes. ...the 3/8-24 size is an exception.

Buy a stainless hex head cap screw in that size and machine it down to make an oval slotted screw head. ...not cheap if you have to get a machine shop to do it, but a possible solution.

Dixie A & T parts in Kitchener Ontario carries all the stainless robertson screws for Canadian A,s 519-748-1648. If it has to be 5/16 NF,you could install a 5/16 heli coil.

How about roy Nasewiczy (spelling), he's a nut/bolt vendor here (EV8 Forum). He may have something or point you in the right direction.
