Default Rare water pump help!!

We had my '52 Ford F-7 out today and the water pump gave up, rattling and leaking. We removed the belt and filled with water and got it home before it overheated. Now, where in the world do I find a pump for this truck?? It has the 296 Cu in version of the 317 overhead valve Lincoln engine. I called Joblot and they didn't have a listing and I called Stacey Brown and they are checking. Any other ideas??? Thanks. I wondered if a kit for a 292 might fit??

Check with Chuck Mantiglia of Chucks Trucks. He may have some parts for this engine. He mainly deals with the small and large flatheads, however.

How about contacting some of the folks in the Lincoln Club. Vic Piano may be a member or maybe he could give you some guidance on finding some folks who are in that club. Or maybe Google would be your friend at finding some Lincoln owner's and their club. Good luck! There has to be one nice replacement water pump out there with your name on it .

Skip might be the man to talk to about the water pump. I know he does a fine job at rebuilding Ford W/pumps he might be able to help you out on this one. Just my two cents.

I already thought I might give him a call if I don't find one somewhere.

Cecil, You might try contacting the Road Race Lincoln Register car club, they cover Lincolns from '49 to '57. Bill Culver is President of the club. PM me and I'll give you his email address. Vic

I don't believe Skip messes with anything but Flathead Ford & Merc (221,239,255) pumps. I called him about the ones on my 337 and he told me "No."

A shot in the dark, sometimes the local parts stores have strange things on their warehouse selves. May be worth a try, call them all, they don't allways use the same supplier. Good luck
