Default Model A Times Magazine

A short time ago I made a comment about the magazine. It seemed to me to be moving more and more towards modified cars and comments made by the publisher here on Fordbarn were read by me as an affirmation that this was the way of future issues.

Well, let me tell you if the magazine continues as shown in the Spring 2012 issue, John, you have a subscriber for life!!

Yes there were some stuff about automatic transmissions and Brookville but there were stories about the distributor body, how the read and understand the operation of the motometer, rebuilding the transmission tower, and other GREAT STUFF. Yes, Great Stuff!!!!!!

All that's missing is a cumulative index. There's an index in the first issue of each year for last year's articles, but nothing that would go back and list all 8 volumes. I typically end up having all 35 issues scattered all over the living room floor looking for something that I know I've seen previously.

That is good to hear Mike. I was a subscriber but thought much the same as you - so I did not renew. Your comments make my want to resubscribe.

I like the Model A Times. No magazine that I get is interesting to me every month.I think John Lavoy does a good job and benefits the hobby.

Having been in the V8 club for 30 years, I too was critical of the Model A magazine. I was just really spoiled by the exceptional V8 magazine. But, I also was very impressed with the last "A" issue. Very well done, and interesting issue.

I too was in the same scenario as Mike & Scott. I glanced thru the new one that came the other day and I thought I would give it another glance in a few weeks and see if it still interested me. I echo Mike's sentiments that the direction and information was heading in a direction that just didn't appeal to me. That in no way reflects my friendship with John.

Carl, maybe John could keep a current index posted on his website where you can refer to it anytime and it would be up to date.
