Default 38 suspension

Recently I had to move a front and rear suspension from an XJ-6 Jaguar, and a 38 sedan that had no suspension. I got the idea to tack weld the Jag suspension in place, which would accomplish both purposes. Lo and behold, the 'stance' is absolutely perfect. Since this car will be cosmetically restored using a modern drive train, I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this. I did correspond a few years back with a gentleman in South Africa who said he used that suspension on his car, BUT that he had to reverse the wheels to get them to line up correctly in the fender openings. However, this does not appear to be an issue with what I have done. Any thoughts? Thanks.
