Here is an actual barn find (1925 Touring)
We had heard about this old car (turns out to be a 25 Touring) being stored in a barn about 15 minutes where we live. So we went to seen it, and contacted the owner who lived 4 hours away. His father had bought the car at some point in time with the hopes of restoring it, as you guessed it never happened. the gentleman we purchased it from would be in his mid 40's and had never seen it run in his entire life. We managed to work out a deal and brought it home on Wednesday of this week. With very minimal work, changing the ignition switch with one that was under the rear sear, cleaning the battery terminals, changing the coils ones we knew were working, and added some gas and water to the rad. With a little choke it actually barked on the trailer. Unfortunately we ended up flooding it. So it got pushed off the trailer and towed a mere ten feet before it sputtered to life. The last know time this car ran was during the mid fifties.....we ended up swapping the carb for another we knew was clean, what a difference. The transmission works like it should and it idles down real nice. It's not too often anymore that you find this cars out there, but i guess there's still a few kicking around.
