Do you mean the cradle that supports the warford that hangs off the back of the trans? I heard they are necessary to help support the weight.

Is this what you're talking about?
1909 to 1925 Model T Motors flex up and down (Heavy Warfords and other types of aux. transmissions hanging on rear of ford of the FORD transmission) causing Severe Bending STRESS on the Crankshaft: On the 1926-27 models this problem was solved. This retro fit kit will brace the oil pan engine block and bell housing; Will keep perfect alignment through the center line in all four main bearings; in the same manner as the 26-27 models. A heavy black bracket is attached on each side of engine block at center main location. A 7/16” rod is welded to the Bellhousing bracket with adjusting nuts on each side of the black bracket. The Bellhousing bracket is bolted to upper sides of bell housing. (Requires three ¼” holes to be drilled and tapped into Bellhousing on each side) using three alloy steel flat head socket screws. Locating bracket to bellhousing is made easy with a 1” strap and is welded to bracket at 90 degrees and extends to the rear pan arm. It attaches to the pan/ frame bolt bracing rear of engine as in 26-27 models. The bracket is a three point mounting on both sides of Engine.

I do try. I really don't see what it can hurt but can't tell you if it will help either unless your using it because you're hanging extra weight as they're describing. However another point is that Ford put something similar in the '26-'27s. Apparently they saw a need for something. And what the heck it's only $100.00 plus shipping. And you're rich so... LOL

They use them in the 26-7s due to the four dip pans not being strong enough like the three dippers. At least that is what I have heard.

Makes sense. Actually after watching farmallcub49 straighten my 3 dip pan yesterday I think they can even be affected. If the pan didn't have the removable bottom they'd probably be a lot less likely to twist.

I think im gonna save my pennies and try it out.maybe their out side oiler system too.and if i win the lottery i might do the oil filter also...the prices seem pretty fair.i figured everything would be very expensive but not at all.

They seem to be very much in tune with some innovation and I agree, realistic prices too.

Now you got me thinking. My car has been marking it's territory since I bought it. Problem is it's like a dog. Everywhere it goes it thinks it's there territory and they just keep marking it. At any rate, it might be leaving it's precious body fluids because of the pan being out of flat. And maybe one of these fixtures is a good idea for all model t's whether 4 dip or 3.

The only problem is engine has to be out or body off.in your running car that might have to wait for the touring to be done...or do it on touring also...
