vintique quail motometer in OZ RHD

I know the quality is suspect, but does vintique go to the trouble of turning the thermometer slightly askew to face left for the USA left hand drive?

Mine arrived in mail and at first I just thought shoddy QC, but then thought ....maybe?

It was going to be no good to me, as i could not see red rise from RHD seat, and if it broke, then so be it, so I undid nut and grabbed with pliers, but it would not turn, so I put end of brass in vice and it turned a little to right and still works.
