Default 62 falcon

Hi Fellas
I am in the process of "fixin up" my grandpa's 62 falcon. I have made new floor boards out of 55 gallon barrels and getting ready to make new leaf spring/bumper frame. It ran good, but it needs a carb kit , points and condenser. What is the point gap supposed to be?
it was running good last week, i took it out for a drive, (up the road and back) i felt the front end start to shake and feel like it was taking lift off, i looked down at the spedometer and it read 90!! i have one brake and it took a quarter of a mile to back her down. DID I MENTION I WAS ON A WIRE BASKET FOR A SEAT?? i went around a corner to fast and the basket tipped over, so i "made" a seat belt, a rachet strap! worked good until it pulled through the floor, so now i lost my seat belt!
the floor is really turning out nice, i willl post some pictures of it later
John

I think point gap is around .016" or 16 thou.
