Default '36 Ford Humpback Deck lid Latch

I have a 1936 Ford 2dr sedan humpback. I am getting ready to put the deck lid on. I have the upper hinges on and getting ready to put the latches on the bottom of the deck lid. The part of the latch that mounts directly to the car has some grooves on the back side of it. It looks like there should be another piece that is grooved the same way to go with it. It looks like that is how you can adjust the latch either in or out to make the lid fit correctly.
My question is, am I correct in assuming that there are 2 grooved pieces for each side or only the one. I only have the outer most piece that the latch hooks to.

Thanks for any help you can give me!
Val

Val, here are some pics of my 36 deck lid. Not sure what piece you are asking about but here is how mine is put together. Ed

Hi Ed
Thanks for the pictures. The 3rd picture of the latch on the outside of the body showing the latch closed is the one that helps me the most. Would you mind to take one of just the part that the latch hooks to on the outside of the car? Preferably a side view so I could see what it looks like from the side. It doesn't look like there are 2 pieces to that part, but I can't quite tell from picture #3.
Thank you so much, Val

Val, the last pic above is the inside part of the latch. I assume that is the two pieces you are talking about. Here is a side view of the latch and I will repeat the inside view. Ed
