Default Windshield wiper motor

My wiper motor on my car was not connected when I bought it. The wires were cut up by the motor and their is a switch in the dash that the wires were also cut. There is a fuse block with a cut wire in the engine compartment, the other end from the fuse block goes to the engine compartment terminal block. I rewired everything and it works great. My question is if the wires are connected correctly for the postive ground system. The black wire coming out of the wiper motor is connected to ground inside the motor so I connected it to ground on one of the wiper motor mount bolts. The wire from the switch that is connected to the fuse panel is connected to the red wire coming out of the wiper motor. Does this sound correct. The motor will run either way.
