Try Costco. You will not find it in there on line ordering matrix but you might get something with a few phone calls. I was happy with the one they supplied for my '57 T Bird which was also not in the catalog.

Be aware that car covers are made from different materials depending on the type of storage(outside/inside/dusty conditions, etc.) If you get the wrong type of cover for outdoor storage you may as well not have a cover. Just a thought, but Costco sells a tent style garage for less than $200. It has sides and ends which may be better for outside storage.

My cousin Peewee2you, he is hear on fordbarn, he has a 47 foodoor, he got a car cover for it . i don't think he paid a lot of money for it about 200$ i think. he told me that the cover whore some holes in it from the wind at the hood ornament and the mirror. he called the company that he got the cover from and they said that if he pay the postage they will send him a new cover. also they said that if he marks the spots where the mirror and the hood ornament go they will put in some pockets for them. talk about good customer service. Peewee2you is on my friend list, if you send him a private message i bet he will let you know where he got it from...Brendan

PeeWee2you here, Brendan's cousin,
He is correct, most of you might be familiar with California Car Cover. I paid about $225 for the cover, not the top of the line, nor the bottom. The cover fit a nicely, Brendan had it correct, it did wear thin in areas that were major rub factors, hood ornament, top of rear fender, and side mirror, I beleive because of wind and heat within 11mos. That being said, for $15 shipping fee, I was sent a new one, and did not have to return the old one. To me that is fantastic customer service. The cover I believe has a 4yr warranty, and they honored it no fuss, no muss. So now when my car sits outside I use the old one, and when I get it painted I will use the new one when stored inside the garage. The same cover is used for the 2dr as Fordor sedan. The cover itself did keep the car efficiently protected from the elements. During the winter, my belief that you will always get a percentage of moister/condensation between under portion of the cover and the car surface itself, just the way it is. But it would dry and disipate quickly. The cover I purchased was called Noah. www.calarcover.com |

The 46 sedans are enormous (imagine wrapping a tape measure around the highest point) and I would imagine the chance of finding any cover to fit that is not specifically made for that body would be slim.
