Default Call from Randy McIntosh/Macs shipping

Like others I was caught in the Macs shipping issues this week, hard to understand from our viewpoint to say the least. After sending a tersely worded e-mail to Darlene W. at Macs last night I was surprised to get a call from Randy this morning. He was very apologetic about the shipping problems we have encountered and promised to make changes how their system operates. My order is now on its way and I have to give kudos to Randy for finding my phone number and calling rather the relying on e-mail.I will keep watching with hopes ordering from them improves over time to help all of us in getting our parts in a faster more reliable way. I use Mac's but I also use The Early Ford Store. I called once and the postman was picking up mail at the same time. The lady put down the phone and got my stuff in the mail before I had finished paying for it. They know their stuff and have a lot of stuff not in the catalog. Their prices are a little higher but their shipping is a lot less so it works out. I check with them before ordering from Mac's.

They took a week to get back to me about my complaint email.....Must be busy with all the complaints.....

They have lost out on thousands of dollars of business from me.

GaryU, I am curious about what Randy M. may have offered as an excuse for the lack of promptly shipping parts that we order? If you would rather not post that info here....you could send me a pm/email by clicking my name/avatar picture. Thank you!

He did not offer an excuse at all.Just said that things needed to change and that it would happen in the next 1 to 3 months. We'll keep watching I'm sure.In my situation because of some items not in stock I ended up in shipping limbo between voice-mails and e-mails even though I kept emphasizing ship it quickly.I guess when my last e-mail described their shipping as frankly pathetic it did the trick.
