Default Fuel tank sending unit

Guys,
Here's the update...long over due....on the Drake fuel tank
sending unit.
Drake refunded my money....yep the refund showed up on
the credit card. I got that goin' for me, I do wish instead of a refund
their tech guys would have come up with a solution to make these
senders work.
Everybody sells these things and I sure know I am far from
the only one who had trouble with it not reading anywhere near correct.

Charlie, drove my 41 pickup over weekend, just can tell from gauge that something is present in tank, that's all, talked to the supplier in Texas and it does cost $200.00 from him for a new old stock ( Vintage Ford I believe ) told that I could make an adapter for the new Bob Drake Tank, will have to wait to make this purchase. Thanks for your information, Bruce

I was never able to get an original sending unit into my &$!@# BD tank. Hole in tank is too small for stock sending unit. Save your $200.00

Try Macs for the red fluid. Not sure on the sending unit. Watch the swap section.

I was able to make an adapter, to use my original sending unit in a BD tank, on my '34.
The problem is, I can only access ten gallons now. The unit sits higher and doesn't reach the last four gallons. I have run "out of gas", thinking I had more, until I figured it out.
